David Murphy

I'm Irish. I'm middle-aged. I like bikes and guitars. I'm a generalist, I like to learn, I like to make and I like to experiment.

Professionally I work at Google in San Francisco as a "UX Engineer" a design/eng hybrid class. I work on Developer Experience for the Fuchsia operating system.

I've been an early employee and singleton R&D team at a consumer electronics startup, a mixed and augmented reality research at Nokia Research Center (where I also dabbled a bit with brain-computer interfaces), I've an MSc in Computer & Information Science from Aalto University, a BA, BAI in Computer Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, and if we're being completionist a Diploma in Music from the Victoria College of Music, London.

Not least I'm a parent of multiples.
